Studios/Culver City/California". B/w 8x10. Ray Collins (1889-1965) starred as Lieutenant Tragg on Perry Mason from 1957 until his death in 1965. He had appeared in many classic films, including The Heiress (1949) and three Orson Welles essentials: Citizen Kane ( his film debut, as the corrupt political boss who defeats Kane's bid for office by exposing his affair, 1941), The Magnificent Ambersons (1942) and Touch of Evil (1958). Long associated with Welles, Collins played three roles in the famous radio broadcast of War of the Worlds (1938), including that of the newscaster who describes the destruction of New York City. Corners creased and lightly soiled. Pencil note (unknown hand) on verso. Surface damage at upper center on verso - previous mounting. Otherwise, fine condition.
